Michał But is a graduate of the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. He obtained a Diploma of a Specialist in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care in Göttingen. He completed postgraduate studies in Medicine of Pain at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. For many years he has been a member of the board of the Intervention Section of the Polish Society for the Study of Pain. He is also an active member of IASP (International Society for the Study of Pain), ESRA (European Society for Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Research), PTN (Polish Society for Neuromodulation). On a daily basis, he works as a pain medicine consultant in pain clinics in Kolobrzeg, Koszalin, Slupsk, Gdańsk and Sopot. In his practice, he uses ultrasound and fluoroscopy -guided interwentional techniques. He is the author or co-author (with his mentor Dr. Andrzej Krol) of many practical modifications to pain interventions. He shares his experience and skills as a faculty an lecturer at many national and international workshops and conferences.
