We are pleased to announce that Róbert Rapčan, MD, FIPP, MBA, PhD., the founder of IPA and Medical Director of EuroPainClinics, delivered a lecture at the esteemed 13th Annual International Congress on Interventional Pain Management, “New York and New Jersey Pain Medicine Congress 2024.” This event was held from November 7th to 10th at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City.
The objective of the congress, organised by the New York and New Jersey Societies of Interventional Pain Physicians (NYSIPP & NJSIPP), was to provide high-quality educational resources and support to physicians and other healthcare professionals engaged in the field of interventional pain management. Róbert Rapčan, M.D., was among the world’s experts presenting a keynote address, entitled “The Role of PRP/Stem Cells in the Treatment of Rupture of the Annulus Fibrosus Following Endoscopic Discectomy,” in which he will also present the initial results of the ongoing EuroPainClinics clinical trial. In this pioneering procedure, mesenchymal stem cells are harvested from the patient’s bone marrow and placed in the intradiscal space and annular tear of the disc (disc). The objective is to facilitate the regeneration of the disc, which has undergone degenerative changes.
MUDr. Rapčan’s extensive professional experience and knowledge have long been a significant contribution to the field of interventional pain management. It is our belief that this will also prove to be an asset in this innovative area of regenerative medicine.
